Love crispy chicken with a sweet and spicy kick? 🍗🌶️ This Crispy Sweet Chilli Chicken is coated in a crunchy golden crust and tossed in a sticky, flavorful sweet chilli sauce. It's quick, delicious, and guaranteed to be a family favourite!

Ingredients:

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

For the Sweet Chilli Sauce:

  • 4 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

For Garnish:

  • Spring onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds

Method:

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken, egg, flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat oil and fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain.
  3. In a pan, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  4. Add sweet chilli sauce, soy sauce, honey, water, and sesame oil. Mix well and simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Add the crispy chicken and toss until evenly coated in the sauce.
  6. Garnish with spring onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or enjoy as a snack.
